Taylor Dreadnought
Bob Taylor’s love for the instrument becomes very clear at a young age. He even built the first guitar when he was only 17, in the younger years in high school. After graduating from high school in 1973, Bob uses his experience in building the Dreadnought to get a job in the American Dream guitar, local guitar shop in El Cajon, San Diego. There, he found the contribution of the most prestigious guitar Taylor – a bolt-on neck. This new design in the most fragile part of the guitar, allowed to repair the neck is much easier when necessary and in a terrible situation, replacement.
Bob Building a Business
In 1974 the owner of American Dreams, Sam Radding, decided to sell the business. Bob Taylor worked with Kurt Listug and Steven Schemmer to buy the company and even named it Westland Music Company, hoping to expand the brand and business.
Finally Westland Music Company was changed to Taylor guitars, the states

that Bob is Listug real guitar maker and that the company should be named like that. At that time, Bob was sitting comfortably in the design and production while Listug concentrate efforts on their small shop grew into a heavy duty guitar manufacturer.
While designing the guitar, not just Bob find a more efficient way to produce large quantities of guitars to meet the public demand, he also put his new luxurious neck, called NT (new technology) to the guitar. Now, without the need for a Dove Tail of the neck which is attached to the guitar body, raced neck fret board which allows to be made from one continuous piece of wood. Many artists believe that this greatly increases the hardness and the tone of the electric and acoustic guitars.
Along with unique ideas and creative business practices, he has prided itself on remaining independent and free up their creativity and business since they started.

Taylor uses ultraviolet light to dry their guitars lacquer finish in hours, not weeks.
Taylor is the first guitar company to use CNC wood router on acoustic guitar.
Taylor employes more than 450 people out of El Cajon, California.

Taylor called pickup phrases and System consists of induction Taylor patented humbucking pickups. Pickup set for a set of special transducers are made for guitar, and the neck itself. The transducer was designed by Rupert Neve, an engineer known for high end pro-audio recording equipment.
